Local Storage, Encryption & Biometric Lock
All data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database using iOS Data Protection. Lock the app with Face ID or a passcode for an extra layer of security. Your finances are never sent to any third-party server — iCloud is the only optional connection, entirely within Apple's ecosystem.

AI Receipt Scanning
On-device OCR powered by ML Kit extracts text, then a DistilBERT NER model identifies the merchant, grand total, tax, tip, and date with per-field confidence scoring. High-confidence fields auto-fill the form; low-confidence ones prompt you to confirm.
Voice Commands
Log expenses hands-free. Say "add $45 for lunch at Chipotle" and an on-device BERT intent classifier parses the amount, merchant, and category — then silently creates the record with a 5-second undo window.
Ask Your Expenses
Type a plain-English question like "what did I spend on food in April?" and an on-device Llama model translates it to a SQL query against your local database. Tax-aware answers built in — 50% meals rule, TCJA entertainment limits, per-year IRS mileage rates.
